Professors Elvira Masson and Margaret Goehring will talk about the FLIP trip they led to Gansu Province in China in March 2017, exploring the beginning of the Silk Road from Xi’an to Dunhuang.  Students and community members learned about this exciting border region that is characterized by its dynamic intermingling of ethnicities, languages, religions, and cultural traditions extending back to antiquity to the present day.
