新墨西哥州立大学孔院美方院长谈如何在美国教好汉语

2017-09-26 陈岩 孔院长 2017年9月16日,是个周六。美国新墨西哥州立大学孔子学院的中、美方院长和全体教师们在孔子学院所在地拉斯鲁塞斯(Las Cruces)聚集并召开了新学期第一次教学指导培训会。新墨西哥州地处偏远,沙广人稀,孔子学院的汉语教学点特别分散。平时各位老师基本一人一个学校,无论教学还是开展文化活动,每个老师都要独挡一面。因此,每一次对新入职教师的业务培训、新老教师之间交流心得的机会,都显得弥足珍贵。上午10点,培训正式开始。这次培训活动,由孔子学院外方院长马森(Elvira Masson)教授主持并主讲。 孔子学院教师们参加培训,认真听讲 马森教授学习汉语30多年,熟知中国历史、东亚历史。培训中,她先向新老师介绍了新墨西哥州的历史和州立大学的历史及现状;然后,她用生动的案例提醒老师们:在美国教汉语,必须意识到英语教学与汉语教学之间的差异。马森教授从下例几个方面——汉语教师应该如何快速适应美国学校的教学环境、如何有效地进行课堂管理、如何掌控课堂教学的节奏、如何吸引学生注意力、如何应付上课不专心的学生、如何引导学生举一反三主动复习所学内容,等等,对教师们进行了非常具体的指导。她声情并茂地为大家做着各种讲解,生动有趣地为大家一点一点做着示范,一个步骤一个步骤地耐心演示,让老师们在欢乐轻松的气氛中学到在美国学校的课堂中进行教学的具体方法和步骤。 外方院长马森教授在介绍课堂管理方法 之后,教师们对培训内容进行了座谈。大家一致认为:虽然行前每位教师都参加过汉办的入职培训,但是象今天这样针对每个具体学校、具体岗位的培训,对于初次进入美国学校的教师来说,仍然非常有必要。这样的培训,内容生动,贴近实地汉语教学环境,在帮助教师迅速熟悉教学,快速进入工作状态,从而自我提升更好地从事汉语教学等方面,都让大家受益非浅。座谈中,老师们还互相介绍、演示、观摩了一些行之有效的课堂管理方法、生动活泼的课堂活动、小游戏等,大家互通有无,教学相长。最后,孔子学院中方院长陈岩老师向大家介绍了新墨孔院的发展前景,鼓励老师们认真工作,放眼未来,不断提升自己,争做优秀的汉语教师,为中国文化走向世界做出更大的贡献。 作者简介 陈岩,河北师范大学外国语学院教师,现任美国新墨西哥州立大学孔子学院中方院长。 文章原版
